Figure 8 Flange

Figure 8 flange is made by a steel spade and spacer, united by a welded handle. Figure 8 flange may have a different type of joint face (RR Raised Face, FF Flat Face, RTJ Ring Joint), depending the type of flange.

The figure 8 flange is usually used on the oil line with two different function:
* If the spade is put in between the flanges, it stops the fluid’s passage;
* If the spacer is put in between the flanges, the passage of the fluid is allowed.

Key Features

Can be attached to the pipe without welding (sometimes an additional seal weld is used as well)
Ideal for higher pressure and temperature applications for small pipe sizes
Not recommended for larger loads, especially when subjected to higher torque

Stainless Steel Elbow can be sleeved into plastic bag individually, pieces wrapped with water-proof material, carbon steel Elbow can be packed in plastic bags and closed in carton boxes or seaworthy wooden or plywood pallet or cases, clear labels are tagged on the outside of the package for easy identification of the quantity and product I.D. Great care will be taken during operation and transportation, to prevent any damage.
